I am a huge fan of movies and movie quotes. I like to sprinkle them at random, appropriate (or inappropriate) times in conversation. My most quoted movie in conversation is
A Knight's Tale, but I love to quote many many movies.
So when a friend was having trouble with her voicemail and asked me to leave her a message to test things out, I knew that there was no other recourse than to leave this classic, classic movie quote on her message:
"Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."
I sat and waited for it to pop up on her phone. When it did, her laughter rang out loud and clear. Our other friend said, "You are a one-woman circus show, Kirsten."

That is MY FAV movie quote too! I love the Princess Bride. I love what your friend said, you ARE a one woman circus show..so funny! Does she know your mom too? I kinda think it is genetic thing hehehe

ReplyDeleteoh that was just too perfect!!!! i dont know if i have a favorite quote to use, but i know lately me and my mom (and my hubby joins in sometimes) like to do the "i love you""i love you more""iloveyou most" from tangled... the other one that is big with me adn my hubby is "we're gonna need a bigger...(fill in the blank here)" referring to jaws

ReplyDeleteLOL My husband and I work quotes into far too many conversations, so this cracked me up. The Princess Bride is definitely a big one, but also My Big Fat Greek Wedding and It's A Wonderful Life...and Rocky (several of them). Our kids do it now as they are getting older and it is awesome fun!

ReplyDeleteI love to quote "The Princess Bride" a lot too! At work, it's usually "Office Space" though (Did you get the memo? I'll make sure you get another copy of that ASAP). And lately, just for fun, it's been a little-known B-movie from the 80s called "The Pirate Movie."

Beautiful blog. Very funny also. My favorite movie quote to throw at friends would have to be from the movie, Never Back Down. Eveytime I am at church sitting next to my friend and the preacher tells us how we shouldn'y give up and keep the faith I turn to my friend and tell her my qoute.

Thank you--more great quotes, I love 'em! :) I have to say that my most quoted TV show is "The Office." Whenever someone doesn't understand me correctly and I know they watch the show, I always say, "Did I stutter?"
