Christmas Eve is traditionally Seth's and my time together. We will go to church with family and often have people back to our place afterwards for dessert amidst Christmas music and the glorious lights of the Christmas tree. After all, your hospitality is as big as your heart and not your home. Then, once our tiny home clears out, Seth and I will pop open a bottle of sparkling grape juice, relax together, and open our gifts to each other. We've always done that. It's a chance for us to be romantic and relax.
The Fur Child also joins us, for he gets some Christmas gifts as well...
Prince Caspian is a cat who is, sort of, well...unique and carniverous. And we love that about him. He usually demolishes his toys very quickly, so at Christmas we get him a few new ones to enjoy. It's really hysterical to watch him. He gets excited when Seth and I open our gifts, and he especially gets excited when I say, "Okay, Prince. It's your turn."
He pulls the gift out of his stocking...
Daintily shreds the tissue paper...
When that doesn't work, he rabbit kicks it open (we have to make it semi-challenging for him or else he gets bored and walks away. He is so like me! Yep, I rabbit kick things too!)...
And then finally, relaxes with his "kill."
Whew. It's hard work being a cat at Christmastime...

Lol that is too funny! And I like your quote about hospitality being as big as your heart & not your home!
